Citation Workshops:

Citation Workshops will begin Wednesday January 29th, during Common Hour. They will take place subsequently every week until the completion of the cycle. Each sessions is 50 Minutes

Part 1: Citation Basics- January 29, 2025-

    Citation Basics- is an introductory workshop designed to introduce students with very little citation experience to fundamentals that will lay the groundwork of their research skills in college. We will discuss what is a citation style, why we use citations, and give a brief introduction  to the three most commonly used citation styles, MLA, APA, and Chicago-Turabian. Still will create and be shown how to create a basic citation in each style,

Part 2: MLA Workshop: February 5, 2025

   Everything MLA,  this low tech workshop is designed to show you how to cite the most commonly used sources in MLA. We will briefly breakdown the history and usage of MLA. Look at specific style characteristics, and look at basic paper formating and in text citations. Finally we will give you everything you need to get started on your Works Cited Page. We will be building citations, diagramming, manipulating legos, and finally looking at error detection.

Part 4: Chicago/Turabian Workshop: February 19, 2025

Part 5: Comparative Styles, How to tell the difference?: February 26, 2025
