Copyright Guidelines

COPYRIGHT GUIDELINES
It is the intent of the Library to adhere to the provisions of copyright law. There are legal and ethical issues involved in the use of copyrighted materials which must not be taken lightly by faculty, staff, and students with respect to copyright law. The text of the law, along with other detailed information, is available in the Library. Additionally, Federal and State copyright law will be posted near the copiers housed in the Library. However, it is the responsibility of the individual to insure that he or she is following the law.

Photocopying
The copiers are clearly marked indicating that the person using it is responsible for compliance with the copyright laws. Library staff will not do photocopying for faculty, staff, or students.

Faculty
Faculty needing copyright guidance should consult our Copyright Information libguide which can be found in the Faculty Services section of the library website.  Librarians are also available to give copyright guidance.
